Balanced Weight Distribution
The increased overall outsole width ensures that your body weight is spread out more evenly, reducing the pressure points on your feet. This even weight distribution enhances comfort during various activities. For those with lower arches and flat feet, you will find that this is a big improvement. But for those with high arches, you may feel very little, to no difference.

Enhanced Outsole
The Primal 3 is made with our Widest Fit Last, just like the Primal 2. The difference is that we developed a new outsole on the Primal 3 with a wider footprint for more ground contact underneath the foot.

Higher Sidewalls
When examining the Lems Primal 3 from a lateral view, you may notice a visual difference — the sidewalls now wrap up higher on the sides. This is a deliberate design choice aimed at improving both fit and lateral stability. The higher side walls provide a snugger fit around the contours of your feet, cradling them comfortably.

Zero-Drop Platform
Just like the Primal 2, the Primal 3 is built on a zero-drop platform which keeps your heel and toes level, mimicking your natural barefoot position on a flat surface.

GREAT SHOES
I have worn barefoot shoes, zero-drop shoes, for about 3 years now and I just bought a pair of Lems for the first time. I purchased the Primal Zen, and absolutely love them. I've started walking a little less in the forest and a little more on paved roads due to my circumstances and the Primal Zen give me the support I need for both! While still being zero-Drop, they offer a little bit more support on the paved roads and are just very, very comfortable. Plus...they look really nice! I get lots of compliments. I absolutely love these Lem shoes and we'll look into getting other styles I'm sure.

Comfortable. Mesh Upper is Low Quality
I've been wearing these since November 2024 (1 year, 5 months) and just a few months into wearing these, the mesh upper started tearing at the pinkie toe area. My toes are not deformed and I don't have a huge pinkie toe, it just happens to rub more on that part. Everything else about the construction of this shoe is great. I'm a women size 7 but got the 7.5 in these and they fit great, leaning toward roomy. I wanted zero drop, vegan, anatomical toe box but without the barefoot sole, and this shoe is a good compromise. They have a fair amount of cushion. However, I'm a dog walker (walking on hard ground every day) and have found that I still need more cushion.
