Balanced Weight Distribution
The increased overall outsole width ensures that your body weight is spread out more evenly, reducing the pressure points on your feet. This even weight distribution enhances comfort during various activities. For those with lower arches and flat feet, you will find that this is a big improvement. But for those with high arches, you may feel very little, to no difference.
Enhanced Outsole
The Primal 3 is made with our Widest Fit Last, just like the Primal 2. The difference is that we developed a new outsole on the Primal 3 with a wider footprint for more ground contact underneath the foot.
Higher Sidewalls
When examining the Lems Primal 3 from a lateral view, you may notice a visual difference — the sidewalls now wrap up higher on the sides. This is a deliberate design choice aimed at improving both fit and lateral stability. The higher side walls provide a snugger fit around the contours of your feet, cradling them comfortably.
Zero-Drop Platform
Just like the Primal 2, the Primal 3 is built on a zero-drop platform which keeps your heel and toes level, mimicking your natural barefoot position on a flat surface.

This sticky rubber outsole incorporates 4mm deep lugs for incredible traction on snow, mud, and everywhere in-between! The built in zig-zag grooves (siping) provide additional biting edges to cut into ice/snow and helps ground your feet in slippery situations.

Comfortable Supportive Fashionable.
I’ve worn LEMS for a couple of years. Love them a lot! I was a bit weary of getting hiking shoes because my Keen’s work well for me. But WTH..I’ll try these out. I really like the feel and the look. I first ordered my usual size, 9.5 but I needed a half size bigger,10. The fit is just a tad narrower than my other LEMS. But the new size is perfect plus a tad extra for thicker socks!! Returning the other pair was a breeze. Just remember to NOT wear your return outside or for any length of time. I tried my return on for a few minutes and knew right away I needed to return.
LEMS is a great company and they support Military and first responders.

3rd pair
I absolutely love these boots. This is my 3rd pair. Great in all types of weather. I recently wore a pair out walking all over Portugal and rainy Scotland. I do go a half size up in these boots - normally I’m a 8.5, but I buy these in 9s. They seem to run a little small. The width is perfect - I have a narrow foot, so I can still wear semi-thick socks (and a left ankle brace) where it doesn’t feel like my feet are suffocating or feeling cramped in the boot.

Great boot!
This is my second set of outlanders. I love them. Comfy and light. Breathable in warmer weather. I’m hard on heals and wore through them. We walk daily with weather permitting.
