This is the first pair of minimalist hiking boots I’ve gotten, and I have used them on 2 hikes so far 6-7.5 miles each, and I loved them! Waterproof, and give my toes plenty of room to be able to use my foot muscles. I have a bad knee and when I walk for long periods of times in shoes that have excessive cushioning, I tend to get bad knee pain, but this did not happen with these boots. I still have to get used to the boot (this is also my first pair of hiking boots), so I have tripped a couple of times, but I am nearly 100% sure that was just my clumsiness and getting used to the boots!
