Balanced Weight Distribution
The increased overall outsole width ensures that your body weight is spread out more evenly, reducing the pressure points on your feet. This even weight distribution enhances comfort during various activities. For those with lower arches and flat feet, you will find that this is a big improvement. But for those with high arches, you may feel very little, to no difference.
Enhanced Outsole
The Primal 3 is made with our Widest Fit Last, just like the Primal 2. The difference is that we developed a new outsole on the Primal 3 with a wider footprint for more ground contact underneath the foot.
Higher Sidewalls
When examining the Lems Primal 3 from a lateral view, you may notice a visual difference — the sidewalls now wrap up higher on the sides. This is a deliberate design choice aimed at improving both fit and lateral stability. The higher side walls provide a snugger fit around the contours of your feet, cradling them comfortably.
Zero-Drop Platform
Just like the Primal 2, the Primal 3 is built on a zero-drop platform which keeps your heel and toes level, mimicking your natural barefoot position on a flat surface.

FULL RUBBER OUTSOLE WITH ZIG-ZAG SIPING

This sticky rubber outsole incorporates 4mm deep lugs for incredible traction on snow, mud, and everywhere in-between! The built in zig-zag grooves (siping) provide additional biting edges to cut into ice/snow and helps ground your feet in slippery situations.

Amazing!!!
I will never buy another type of hiking boots! They felt like my broken in boots as soon as I put them on my feet. I will say, if you have a high arch, get some arch support insoles. I can’t say enough great things about these boots! Buy a pair!!

I really wanted to love these boots...
I owned the Boulder Boots for so long, I knew it would be hard to replace them. I took a chance on the Outlander and I was sadly disappointed. They are heavy and a bit clunky. My feet and legs were killing me after a hefty hike just on flat terrain. The laces are a bit challenging to lace up. They are super cute so I wear them just short term, but definitely not my everyday shoe. I'll stick to my 7 year old Boulders that never let me down.

new favorite shoe
These instantly became my new favorite show. I have always had a hard time finding a shoe that's comfortable, especially while hiking. My feet did not hurt or anything after some longer hikes. Went hiking in the pouring rain on wet rocks and leaves, and had no problems. Grip was great! 10/10
