Lems Waterproof Barefoot Boots Comparison

Over the years, many of our European customers have asked for waterproof barefoot boots that can handle everyday life as well as unpredictable weather. We’re happy to say that the Lems range now includes a carefully selected collection of waterproof boots designed to cope with rain, mud, and winter conditions across Europe.

From wet city streets and daily commutes to outdoor walks and light trail use, these boots are built to perform in real European conditions. Each model keeps the signature Lems wide toe box for natural comfort, combined with a zero-drop or minimal-drop sole to support a more natural walking posture — without compromising on weather protection.

Whether you’re looking for a barefoot boot suitable for office wear, urban walking, travel, or time outdoors, there’s a waterproof Lems option designed to fit your lifestyle.

Boulder Boot Grip

Building on the success of the waterproof Boulder Boot, this version takes performance a step further with an all-terrain, slip-resistant rubber outsole. The updated sole is designed to offer more confidence underfoot, especially in wet and slippery conditions commonly found on European streets and paths.

The outsole features carefully placed siping grooves that help improve grip on damp surfaces by channelling water away — a concept similar to the tread patterns used on winter tyres. This makes the boot particularly well suited for rainy days, cold seasons, and everyday walking where reliable traction really matters.

Boulder Summit Waterproof

If you’re looking for a Boulder Boot built with outdoor terrain in mind, the Boulder Summit Waterproof is designed for exactly that purpose. It takes the familiar comfort and foot-shaped fit of the Boulder Boot and adapts it for more demanding conditions.

Equipped with the same winter-ready traction outsole used on the Outlander, the fully waterproof Boulder Summit features an oiled, full-grain leather upper and a sole designed to grip uneven, wet, and slippery surfaces with more confidence than the standard Boulder Boot. This makes it a strong choice for trail walking, forest paths, and mixed terrain where extra stability and traction are needed.

Breck Boot Insulated

The Breck Boot is now available with 4 mm 3M™ Thinsulate™ insulation, designed to help keep feet warm and dry through cold, damp winter conditions. The added insulation makes it a practical option for everyday winter wear, without turning the boot into something bulky or restrictive.

Staying true to barefoot principles, the Breck Boot remains zero-drop, flexible, and durable. This balance makes it well suited to snowy days, cold morning commutes, and regular winter walking, offering warmth and protection while still allowing natural foot movement.

Outlander

Designed as a true all-season option, the Outlander is built to handle changing weather conditions throughout the year. It features a fully weatherproof upper combined with a gusseted tongue, helping to keep moisture and debris out during wet, cold, or muddy conditions.

The winter-ready outsole is made from a high-grip rubber compound and is designed to perform well on snow, mud, and slippery ground. With deep lugs and a zig-zag tread pattern, it provides reliable traction on uneven terrain, steep paths, and slick surfaces — making it a dependable choice for outdoor walks, winter travel, and challenging conditions.

Chelsea Barefoot Waterproof

Using the same outsole design as the Primal Zen, the waterproof Chelsea Boot combines everyday versatility with reliable weather protection. It features a fully waterproof membrane paired with an oiled leather upper, helping to keep feet dry in wet and changeable conditions.

Designed with an ultra-wide toe box and a zero-drop platform, the Chelsea Boot supports natural foot movement while maintaining a sleek, easy-to-wear style. At just 278 grams, it’s the lightest option in the waterproof range, making it an excellent choice for office wear, city walking, travel, and light outdoor use.

Chelsea Boot Tuff

The Chelsea Boot Tuff brings together a clean, versatile look with added durability for cooler conditions. Built with the same rugged outsole found on the Boulder Summit, this waterproof version is designed to offer dependable grip while maintaining a refined Chelsea boot style.

A soft faux-fur lining around the cuff adds extra warmth and comfort, making it especially well suited to colder days without sacrificing flexibility or ease of wear. It’s a practical option for those who want a barefoot-friendly winter boot that works just as well for everyday use as it does for light outdoor walking.
